DESCRIPTION
This 50th-anniversary commemorative watch pays tribute to the “Silver Snoopy Award” that OMEGA received from NASA astronauts in 1970 in recognition of the brand’s contributions to space exploration, including the Apollo 13 mission.
The stainless steel case is paired with a blue nylon fabric strap, featuring the Apollo 13 mission trajectory engraved on the lining. The silver dial showcases blue PVD hour markers and angular hands, along with a silver Snoopy medallion engraved on the blue sub-dial at 9 o’clock.
On the NAIAD LOCK case back, a view of the Moon’s far side is decorated on the sapphire crystal using a micro-structured metallization process. An animated Snoopy in his Command and Service Module (CSM) appears on a magical hand, rotating when the chronograph function is activated. Behind it, a rotating Earth disk spins once per minute in sync with the watch’s small seconds hand.
In addition to the black engravings on the case back, which pay homage to the Apollo 13 mission and OMEGA’s Silver Snoopy Award, the watch also features a blue ceramic [ZrO2] bezel with a white enamel tachymeter scale. This non-limited watch operates with the OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer Caliber 3861 and comes in a special presentation box.

In 1970, OMEGA received the prestigious “Silver Snoopy Award” from NASA astronauts. The award recognized OMEGA's unique contributions to space exploration, as well as the Speedmaster's role in saving Apollo 13. Now, 50 years later, a special watch has been created to celebrate the occasion.

Movement
Manual-winding chronograph movement with a Co-Axial escapement. Master Chronometer certified and approved by METAS, it is resistant to magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss. Free-sprung balance with a silicon balance spring. Rhodium-plated finish, with bridges decorated with straight "Côtes de Genève."
Snoopy in Orbit
At the bottom of the case, Snoopy appears in the Service Module (CSM) as a magical hand. When the chronograph is activated, he travels toward the Moon, which is decorated on the sapphire crystal. A rotating Earth disk also spins once per minute, synchronized with the small seconds hand.
The Legacy of Comics
For over half a century, Snoopy has been the "watchdog" of NASA's safety program. In addition to symbolizing the total success of missions, he also helps keep the atmosphere light in more serious situations. Since 1968, the Silver Snoopy Award has been presented to individuals or companies that have significantly contributed to the "success of manned space missions."
